Welcome to 2011/2012 Flying 11 Interclub Regatta Website

This is the location for the 2011/2012 Flying 11 Interclub Regatta held in Sydney's upper harbour.

When boats in the upper harbour attend the states and/or nationals they are racing against a fleet of 90+ boats: they are not getting this competition back at their home club. So, to increase competition back at home, the clubs in the upper harbour got together and started to race together.

Last year was the first time we tried this and we had 20 boats competing, representing 5 clubs over 6 racing days.

This a low key event where the sailing instructions come from host club and boats rig and return from their own club. The boat's time is used at the boat's host club for their own pointscore, but also counts towards the interclub regatta scratch and handicap trophy. This way, boats can compete at their club and get experience at the same time.

Registration is free and you can enter anytime throughout the regatta.
